I finally got around to uploading the photos from the Girls Night Out Dinner when I was down in Orange County. You can order these photos from the website or just download them to your computer. I had a lot of fun that night hanging out with my family and getting to know the ladies from my mom's Bible study group.

2 Pea's Blog Challenge
Challenge:
You are at the magazine stand, what three magazines are you going to purchase?
This is an easy one for me:
1. Creating Keepsakes
2. Simple Scrapbooks
3. Scrapbooks Etc.
I get every issue. Recently, I have started weeding out some of my old ones and it is so hard for me to get rid of them. I love magazines but my favorite are scrapbooking magazines.

More Photos
I spent some time on the computer today editing some more photos from the family reunion. If you would like to see more go here. Hey girls I hope you enjoy these I will post more later when my back is doing better.
First Day of Fall
Fall is definitely here in our town. We had a huge wind storm yesterday and all last night. Our yard is covered with leaves and pine needles. Our dog Didj got to sleep inside for the first time since last winter. We should have our wood stove installed and burning in the next few weeks. Our house is going to be nice and toasty this winter and I know it is going to be good for both of our backs.
Fall is my favorite season and living here we get to enjoy the change of seasons. I love the light at this time of year, the long shadows, that golden glow. It is such great light for photographing. I just need to get out there and do it. This photo is from one of John's trees in the front yard. Last year it was eaten by deer but it has grown a good three feet since.

Mom's Surgery
This morning my mom had surgery to remove her gall bladder and everything went well. I just got off the phone with her and she is drugged out of her mind but sounded good. I think she will be feeling a lot better now that she had the surgery.
Since tonight is the season premier of Grey's Anatomy and Mom had her surgery today I think the following photo is fitting for the photo of the day. I can't wait to see the season premier tonight!

This Evening In Our Backyard
This year we, or should I say John, has done a lot of fishing. We have so many great places to fish here close to home. John does the fishing and I bring my camera a find stuff to photograph. Recently, John purchased his first fly fishing rod. Tomorrow he is going to try it out for the first time so he was practicing his cast in the backyard.
Our dog Didjerido wasn't really happy about John paying so much attention to his rod instead of throwing the ball for her.
Did you notice the big pile of wood in the background? Yes, we finally made a decision to go with a wood stove instead of a pellet stove. We should have it installed in about 2 weeks. We are looking forward to the feel of a wood burning stove this winter.

Visitor in my Flower Garden
I admit it, I have a thing for Praying Mantis. Every year I look forward to seeing them in the yard. I was so excited to see this one in my flower garden today. I thought that I had lost the opportunity to photograph one this year because I kept putting off shooting the ones I had seen. Now that it is getting late in the season to see them I couldn't find anymore to photograph. I was happy to get a shot of this guy today.

Art 300 Elementary Drawing and Composition
I have not drawn a picture since I was eight. This is my first assignment for my art class. The assignment was you could not use an erasure. We were to draw three pears, one apple, a glass vase with flowers, a picture frame and one object of our choice.
I have always thought that I could not draw anything but stick figures. I was going to turn in a drawing of stick figures but once I started this I was a little surprised at the drawing. It is not that bad considering I don't know how to draw and I couldn't use an erasure.

Neuschafer Family Reunion
This is the group picture from the Neuschafer Family Reunion. I will be posting additional photos from the reunion in the next few days. If you would like to see the photos please go to My Photography. You can download these photos to your own computer or have them printed by PhotoSite(My Photography). The 8X10 group photos are very large (5 MB) so they may take sometime to download if you have dial up internet service.
Once I have all the photos edited I can burn a CD of all the photo and send you a copy. Just let me know if you would like a CD. Keep checking back because I will continue to add photos in the next few days.
